On December 19, 2024, ROYM Nepal organized an impactful interaction program in Rukum West. The roundtable discussion brought together ROYM Nepal’s Youth Human Rights Defenders Network, civil society organizations, and newly elected government representatives, including federal Parliament Member , Province Parliament Member , District Coordination Committee Deputy Chief , Municipality Mayor, BAR, WHRD, NGOF, FNG, and KICC. The program aimed to raise awareness about the significance of human rights and ensure they remain a priority in our communities.
Esteemed community leaders and stakeholders gathered to discuss various critical issues, including human rights, gender-based violence, employment, development, education, health, food, housing rights, and the rights of youth, women, and children. The event underscored the need for collective responsibility in reducing human rights violations, with an emphasis on state accountability and active public participation.
