ROYM Nepal, in collaboration with our Young Human Rights Defenders (YHRD) Network and with the support of AEIN Luxembourg, organized an important discussion in Mugu, Jumla, and Kalikot Districts.
This impactful initiative brought together 101 participants, including Young HRDs, newly elected representatives, youth activists, civil society leaders, provincial parliament members, ward chairpersons, legal experts, Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), NGO Federation members, media representatives, and youth advocates.
Key discussions focused on addressing:
- Transitional justice and citizenship rights
- Combating harmful traditional practices and gender-based violence
- Improving access to services and promoting good governance
Representatives from ROYM Nepal’s YHRD Network emphasized the importance of youth-led advocacy for sustainable progress, urging policymakers to prioritize grassroots engagement and institutionalize human rights-based policies.
This dialogue marks a significant step in fostering solidarity for young human rights defenders and creating safer environments for their protection and promotion. Together, we rise for justice, inclusion, and change!
